Wensday Pte Ltd ("Wensday", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Singapore, operates the Gotchii mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: email address and authentication details from your social login provider when you sign up.
- Step and activity data: read from Apple HealthKit, used to determine your pet's wellbeing.
- Screen time data: read via Apple's Screen Time / FamilyControls frameworks, used to determine your pet's wellbeing.
- Usage and analytics data: app interactions and diagnostic data collected via Firebase Analytics, to help us understand and improve the App.
- Push notification tokens: used to send you app notifications about your pet, if you enable them.
2. How we use your information
We use the information above to operate the pet-wellbeing mechanic, maintain your account, send notifications you've opted into, and understand how the App is used so we can improve it.
3. Health and screen time data commitments
Consistent with Apple's requirements: HealthKit data and Screen Time data are used solely to power Gotchii's in-app features. We do not use this data for advertising or marketing purposes, and we do not sell or share it with data brokers or third parties for purposes unrelated to the App's core functionality.
4. Legal basis for processing (EEA/UK users)
Where GDPR applies, we process your data based on your consent (health and screen time data), the necessity of processing to perform our contract with you (account functionality), and our legitimate interests (analytics, service improvement).
5. Third-party services
We share limited data with the following service providers, who process it on our behalf: Apple (HealthKit, Screen Time, authentication, in-app purchases) and Google Firebase (analytics, authentication, push notifications). These providers have their own privacy policies governing their handling of data.
6. International data transfers
As a global app, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including Singapore and the United States. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
7. Data retention
We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the App. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent for health/screen time data collection at any time via your device settings. 9. Children's privacy
Gotchii is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via the App or by other reasonable means.
